Houston Endowment supports efforts to help vulnerable populations live with greater independence and dignity. These efforts include social services, but not direct physical care, for the elderly, disabled and chronically ill, particularly low-income individuals who might not otherwise have access to such services. The foundation invests in three focus areas, each characterized by a desired outcome.  Grantseekers should select one of the following areas as the primary focus of their application:

Disabilities: People with disabilities maintain or improve their quality of life.

Chronic Illness: People with chronic illness maintain or improve their quality of life.

The Elderly: Elderly people maintain or improve their quality of life.
