Studies show that schoolchildren who receive music instruction are consistently more advanced in reading and math skills when compared to their classmates with no musical experience.

Singing, dancing, acting and painting are fun. They also build analytic and creative thinking skills in children, encourage teamwork and promote self-discipline, which transfer to other areas of school, life and work. Whether painting a picture or figuring out a new dance, children learn to experiment and explore new ways to see and respond to the world around them. Often music, poetry, painting and dance reach at-risk children and others difficult to engage positively. The arts help children develop important skills and often change their lives.
