Lauren Kureska

People & Culture Manager

Lauren manages all human resources functions including recruiting, performance management processes, payroll, and benefits administration. She is passionate about a collaborative and positive work environment where everyone works together to achieve great things for the Houston community.

Her career path began at Nordstrom, where began as a department manager. She realized her passion for a superior customer experience was even greater for the employee experience and made a change to human resources. She held several leadership positions including regional human resources manager, where she oversaw human resources departments in 14 stores and across seven states. In 2019, she decided to pursue a career in the nonprofit world and joined Houston Endowment.

Lauren has a Bachelor of Science in fashion merchandising and minor in general business from Texas Christian University. She is a Certified Professional from the Society of Human Resources Management.
