Stephanie is passionate about the power of storytelling to further Houston Endowment’s mission. She collaborates with program teams to create impactful, strategic communications that engage and connect the Endowment’s work with the communities it serves.
Stephanie comes to this role with 20 years of experience in journalism and communications. She served as director and managing editor of communications at Arnold Ventures, where she oversaw editorial operations, audience engagement, social media, design, and website development. Prior to that, she served as general manager of communications for the Houston Independent School District, where she oversaw crisis communications and developed print and digital campaigns around literacy, school finance, immigration, and parent empowerment. She was with the Houston Chronicle for 13 years, serving as senior producer of subscription-based digital products and as news editor, directing the editing and production of daily and Sunday print editions for the largest news operation in Texas.
Stephanie previously taught print and digital communications at the University of Houston. She received her bachelor’s in journalism from the University of Texas at Austin.
