Announcing a New Online Grantee Portal

Houston Endowment is pleased to announce that we are in the process of transitioning to a new online grants management system and grantee portal called GivingData. Going forward, all applications and reporting requirements will be completed via GivingData. GMS (our previous grantee portal) will be taken offline Nov. 15, 2019.

GivingData will facilitate even more information sharing and collaboration between Houston Endowment staff members and our grantees so that we can widen our knowledge about the exciting work happening in greater Houston and be more effective thought partners. With GivingData, Houston Endowment is now able to provide a more user-friendly grantee portal — with an updated interface — where users will be able to submit applications and reports and track other grant-related information like pending requests, scheduled payments, and/or report due dates.

Learning to use GivingData
We will be in touch to offer instructions and other support to help you navigate the new site over the coming months as your Houston Endowment deliverables come due. Future correspondence will contain information about how to register your organization in the new portal.

The new technology has allowed us to make some improvements to simplify the application process. Find information and timely updates on our website.

We encourage you to work with your IT department to add the following email addresses to your “safe list” to ensure that you receive all future notifications from our new system: and

Saving archival information from GMS
Please note: Complete information on your organization’s previously awarded grants will not be available for reference in the new portal. If you do not have copies in your own records of these or other documents, please be sure to log in and download them from GMS as needed before Nov. 15, 2019.

Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns about the new technology.

We look forward to working with you in the foundation’s new grantee portal, and we appreciate your support as we complete this transition.
