Houston Endowment Joins Other Foundations in a Message of Hope

Houston Endowment adopted formal vision and mission statements in 2015 intended to emphasize our commitment to greater Houston and to advancing equity of opportunity – in order to build a more vibrant community and where all have the opportunity to thrive. Those statements take on new relevance in the face of recent events across the country.

In July 2016, we joined 37 other foundations to make a public statement encouraging connection and constructive dialogue in the face of violence and divisiveness. Houston Endowment is a signatory on the ad pictured, below, which is running in newspapers across the United States, including the Houston Chronicle, Los Angeles Times, Detroit News/Detroit Free Press, New York Times and Washington Post.
